Artist Kim Rhoney uses her light-flooded great room as her painting studio. The mantel, originally from Europe, was used in an Ann Arbor business before landing in storage; it was a gift to Kim from a former boss. Her grandmother’s rolling server holds brushes and baskets of painting supplies. The adjustable easel can be opened up to accommodate a 10-foot canvas.
